Bought mine from a private dealer, agreed with him that I would cover the cost of a minor service at the local OPC before settling the balance on the basis that he would bear the cost of anbything major found. Porsche Centres are THOUROUGH! Saved me the cost of a new condenser and a couple of other things that the dealer fixed. I accepted a couple of minors that could await the next service but I had NO unpleasant surprises for the next 3 years (and after that only W&T flowing from mileage).

Peter Morgan has been recommended by many. I used him myself and was happy with the service provided. Also consider Wrighttune and Hartech who are mentioned many times here.

I am on my second Boxster, a 987, and on both occasions I have bought them through good quality second hand dealers but I have always had them inspected at my local OPC - well worth the money.

+1 for Peter Morgan. Very thorough I thought and after 2 years my 987 hasn't missed a beat.... Long may that continue.............

finally got my boxster. after 4months of looking.
I used peter morgan for the inspection,
money well spent.did a great job.
