Car insurance?

My insurance is up for renewal at the end of next month..... just wondering if anyone has any good companies I can try? Best quote through confused.com is from performance direct and is £218 with 5000 mile limited mileage. No doubt that will go up once I run through the quote though!!!

Any info gratefully received.

Cheers

If it is not your main car then the AON modern classics is hard to beat. I've just renewed for £258 for a fully comp policy with all the usual fully comp bells and whistles, sensible excess, windscreen cover, agreed value, unlimited milage, all mods declared and 5 trackdays. Thats only £40 more than my Focus.

It is my only car i'm afraid but i don't use it to commute or anything as I live on the same country estate as I work on so I walk to work

I look at about £600, only car, kept on the street in East London, aged 33, more NCB than you can shake a stick at, 12000 miles, class whatever-it-is business milage.

Plus the usual, as mentioned above (reasonable excess, glass cover, courtesy car, 3rd party cover on other cars etc.)

Oli.

I'm on £650. 24, 4 years NCB, a couple of blemishes on my record, kept on the street, unlimited miles, and business use.

So yours sounds pretty reasonable, although my age really counts against me.

Adrian Flux on a Classic Car Policy, with 5000 miles a year, parked on a driveway, I have 2 claims in the last 5 years plus 3 points and have my Dad on the policy who has a claim in the last 5 years. Its worth mentioning if you own another performance car. I have a 997 and a 535D as well and they gave me additional discount based on the fact that the 944 was less powered than these. I am 29 and pay £303 a year.

After being quoted £600 [] by my current insurers (HIC) for limited mileage 3rd party on the 944S I phoned Aon as per Scott's recommendation above and got fully comp for £220 (with PCGB discount) which was much more like it.

We were originally with Classicline on a pretty competetive 5k miles PA classic policy.

Changed it the next year to Sainsbury's ~ they were within £10 of the classicline policy, no mileage limits and no restrictive "if it's within 0.5miles of your home it must be in a locked garage overnight" covenant. Since it was our 2nd car this also allowed my good lady wife to continue building up her NCB (unfortunately she only crashes my cars [&:] ).

Clicky link HERE ~ worth a try.

Excellent, cheers guys, will be doing some phoning round tomorrow but looks as if I may be pushed to beat Performance Direct's quote.

Will report back soon [:)]
