Hi All,

I'm looking to get some overmats for my 993.

The OPC prices are a bit on the steep side - can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative?

There are some on ebay for about £15 but i dont think they are original, there are also some with turbo script on them, think i saw them in different colours.

Hi JOhn,

Not really after anything with text, just recommendations for a good quality mat.

Have you bought any from ebay? Do you rate them?

HI,

my car had them already, there are some without the scripts, I have not brought from ebay these items so can not recommend.

I got mine from Southbound (original Porsche 993 items) about 18months ago for about £85 for a set of four. It was from their stand at Eynsham, so it may have been a bit of a bargain.

the OPC ones are good though and IMHO worth that bit more - proper fixings to secure them, fit exactly, logos etc and quality spot on - I am sure some of the others are just as good but in the overall scheme of things the difference isn't much. I bought mine 5 years ago and will do so again if they ever look like wearing out (so far they are still perfect)

Nick

Maybe they last so long, cos at that price you feel you should take more care of them??!

I guess I just feel bad about spending over £100 for a set of mats that I know are going to get abused and muddy... but I didn't really want to go to the other extreme of some "cut me down to size" rubber mats from Halfords...

Thanks everyone for your inputs - I'll go ponder my muddy shoes... maybe a pair of "car slippers" would be better...!! :)

I'd agree. Good quality, all the fixings etc. and that warm "original" feeling in your heart! [:'(]
