hello everyone;-)) I need to rant !!!!
why is it that if you own a nice car people seem to think that it's acceptable to use it as a parking aid !!! . Today for the second time in just under a month I return to my car to find a scuff and dent on my rear bumper that's gone through to bare plastic !! , you spend all your time and money making it the perfect car , only for ignorant people to ruin it !! ???????? rant over !!!

Very very annoying! At least you're lucky you don't park your car in Paris where unless they bump into you, they haven't parked properly.

Can't blame you for ranting! We've all been there mate and its really frustrating. Happened on my wife's brand new car just before Xmas. Some bugger slammed straight into her front bumper and took the paint off in two spots. We ended up getting a mobile body repair guy come to us and repair it who came highly recommended from a friend that had the same sort of damage as yours also (rear corner of bumper and cracked light cluster). Like most of us I'm really fussy about these things and was still a bit reluctant reluctant at first, even after seeing the great repair work done on my mates car. Have to say that I'm really glad we did use him as I was really impressed with her car once done. The guy operates around north London and Hertfordshire and would be glad to share the details if your interested. No affiliation by the way! Good luck in getting it sorted. John

Agree we always park away from others in most distant spot, someone then decides to park next to you even though plenty of spaces. My wife currently runs an IQ (which she thinks is best car she has ever had) after succession of SLK's, EOS and Scirroco and would you believe it every corner has been scuffed. Really frustrates her as smallest car she has ever owned and gets most damage. i suppose people think it just a cheap car or don't allow for its size, just annoying[]

I've got a lovely scuff on my rear bumper due to the same...please share the details of the repair guy as a respray is going to be expensive!

I only managed to find his first name and phone number: Gary - 07540 073 268. I'll post the website details also if I find them. Cheers, John.

Talking of repairs/scuffs chips which I have two small but ugly Ones on each corner of the pu I called my local chips away guy two repair them also I have a small scratch on the inside of the door pillar which I would get done at the same time. He came back with a estimate of nearly 500.00 and then tells me it would take about 5 hrs I think iam in the wrong business.

Hi Gary did the repair on my bumper last year and really did a top job his website is www.londonbumper.repair and john has put his number above.

Looks like everybody gets it then!

Got a long envy scratch on near side rear quarter a few years ago, £600 to repair.
Last year it was offside rear corner bumper at the club monthly meeting!!!??????
Anyway, going to send the car in this year to have all paint blemishes sorted and make it mint again. I can then look forward to another round of bumps, scrapes and scuffs caused by other clumsy morons.
Funny how I never manage to scrape anybody else's car!

Good luck with it. look forward to seeing the photos. That's why I park as far away from the entrance as possible at supermarkets if I'm unlucky enough to take mine, much to her annoyance. However much to mine, someone will still park right next to mine...
