WE NEED A PORSCHE THAT COST LESS THAN £1000

The purpose of requesting a 'Porsche for £1000' is that it will be the main feature on the Club stand at the 'Auotosport International Show' in January.

We will need the selected car for Wednesday throught to Sunday. The owner will get tickets for the whole period of the show and his car will be reported on / featured in several car magazines. There is a huge interest in this from the motoring press.

I will be issuing a certificat to the owner and this should greatly increase the value/desirability of the chosen car.

I myself own a suitable car but would rather used a members vehicle.

Contact me here or at eventsdirector@porscheclubgb.com or by telephone on 01865 880626.

Hello Geoff,

I have got a car that I brought for £1500. A 924S.(Immaculate Condition) Or I also have a non runner in need of a full restoration which I will start in the new year. A very rare 2.0 ltr 1980 Le Mans Car that cost me a pint of beer.

Don't know if this is a sensible suggestion or not, but if anybody has the cash to spare (or even if the club itself has), I know of the ideal car up for sale here in Glasgow just now. Details here if anybody fancies buying a bargain to show off to the world.

I am trying to get my head round this bit

Not much good if this puts the value up and over the £1000 mark really [;)]

?
I want a car that cost the current owner £1K or less. If he ends up with a car worth £2K... Good luck to him.

I think Geoff had his tongue firmly in his cheek when He wrote this.....[:)]

Actually, several 944s have been sold during my time with things like "PCGB member for last 5 years", "region concourse winner, trophies to prove", "PCGB display car at Eynsham Hall" etc, and it can't have done any harm to their value or saleability! In fact, these are all relevant to my shed of a 944, which must now be worth double.....[8|]

Seriously, it's just a nice "thank you", and something for the member's scrapbook!

I know but it is just the way it's been writen that looked, interesting shall we say.

If not every used car dealer in the UK will be beating down your door Geoff to add some extra value to their cars as well..[;)]

You could say that..... I really could'nt comment...;[8|]

I have a Red 924s, 1985 C Reg, one owner before me, (had the car a few months) just over 55,000 genuine miles with a FSH, just flew through a MOT, not bad nick at all, all original including radio, interior in good condition (dash NOT cracked).

I am a member of the 924 owners club, but not this club....yet!

Let me know if my car is of any interest at all and if anyone wishes to come and have a look, I live in Croydon.

Cheers.
Brian.

Oh, nearly forgot the best bit, I paid £500 for the car!.
