Car seats in the rear - 1999 996 3.4 C2

hi all, looking for some advice really. I'm looking for high backed children's car seats that fit in the back of a 1999 996. I don't what the seats in the front and am eager to avoid the expense of porsche branded seats. I am also looking for a booster seat option. There are many discussions about this online but all of them refer to seats that are no longer on sale etc. I'm looking to put a 7 year old and a 4 year old in the back. Adults in the front. Appreciate any advice!

Maxi Cosi Rodifix in mine. My 911 is a 2003 996.2 Targa but I'm pretty sure the rear seats are identical to yours.

My almost 6 year old son has been very happily sitting it for the past 3 years.

When buying it I went to Mothercare whose staff bent over backwards to help me try out different seats.

We have a Recaro in the back of a 996 3.4 C4 coupe (yr 2000). We had every seat in Halfords lined up on the car park floor outside the shop and tried them one at a time! Got some looks!!! I can dig out the model number etc if you want.

Thanks Phil.. if you could get the model number or seat name that would be great... there are lots
of different recaro seats out there. It sounds like I need a trip to mothercare and Halfords this weekend! [:)]

Thanks cdog dog for the advice also - much appreciated!

I think there's a maxi cosi sps Rodi that fits (my daughter only just turned 3 in Jan so not quite there in terms of next size seat).

Hi Sizulu,
The seat we have is a Recaro Monza Nova 2 High Back Booster Seat with SeatFix. Ours is Black. It fits in my 996 coupe with the isofix 'crocodile' grips retracted into the seat (there are no isofix points in a 996.)
There's a knack to clipping the seatbelt buckle in because it's snug, but you quickly get the hang of it. It's very easy to whip it out and put it into another car, and if the other car has isofix then the grips extend out really easily.
like all parents, our priority was to get the safest seat we could, but a huge bonus with this one is the built in speakers in the sides of the head bolster. There's a wire in the side of the seat base that plugs into the headphone socket of an iPad or smartphone so the little one can watch Peppa Pig, etc and you can listen to the car stereo! ??
Halfords sell it for £159 at the moment and they price match other retailers.
hope that helps.
