Anyone know of a cheap car trasnporter. I need to to get my Porsche (no MOT or tax) from Cardiff to Stratford-on-avon? I've been quoted £144.00 + vat.
Thanks

Sounds a reasonable quote to me, unless you have access to a car with a tow hitch to move it yourself.
Why Stratford, I can't think of a specialist there?

have got a trailer but, it would cost us about £100 in petrol to drive to Cardiff then trailer your car to Stratford.

Dear Helen
I have resolved the problem by having it MOT'd in Cardiff. The car now resides at my home address after a very satisfying drive up the M50.
Thanks
John

Reading your signature - is this the car due for the V8 conversion? (as per signature).

Our S2 engine is in rude health, but I've always fancied the idea of a V8 if anything ever happened to it..... a member called "Blease" was planning to fit an LT-1 V8 to his '44 last year but he's gone quiet - no idea if it's in-progress or if the plan was abandoned (?)

Hi
Yes, I already have most of the conversion kit. I had it shipped over from Renegade Hybrids in the states (http://www.renegadehybrids.com). I had orginally intended to fit it in the lux but the SE already has all the suspension and brake upgrades that I need. I will sell the SE engine complete to pay for the Chevy engine which can be shipped as a complete anclliared unit quite cheaply from the states. My local clasic car company near Pershore will fit it for me.
Regards
John

Thanx for the heads up guys -glad you got it sorted in the end John!
