Car transportation

What's the best way to get a car moved (non-runner). Any Glasgow/Edinburgh recs? General enquiry for future reference but may need one shifting this weekend. Cheers.

Hmm wonder if its the same one I saw? No doubt if you are succesful you will let us know

It's a 944 lux that is the same colour as mine outside hence the interest. I think I might have seen your car in Springburn Dougie -- if it was yours, it was a cracker (think I was in my 928 bag of nails at the time...)
Thanks for the tip John, I've emailed Jane to see if they know of someone I can use either now or in the future.

Hi Paul

I never got your e mail sorry. Anyway, I have sent you an e mail with a name and phone number [;)]

Jane

Paul, I am sorry your email did arrive, it was just there amongst the spam [:)] I get so much spam these days

Anyway, you should hopefully have received my e mail.

It's in my mobile now but I never used it at the time I asked as I decided I didn't need another shed at the moment.
Was tempted to phone him up to get a rough idea of cost for future reference but didn't want to waste his time. Anyone here got any examples...?

I use him every day at our garage for short runs. The last time I used him to lift a dead 944 auto I bought on eBay (from Port Glasgow to Dunfermline) he charged me £90 which I thought was pretty reasonable. He also went to Dumfries and collected another Porsche for me for £110, but I was told that was discounted!

It's a good service he offers and runs a Disco with a single trailer.

If anyone wants to use him, tell him Derek at Crossford recommended him and claim a 25% discount!
