Car wanted!

I have a budget of £2000 with which to buy myself a 944. I realise this sisn't exactly a massive amount of money but obiously I would like to get the best example I can. I don't do massive amounts of miles but it will be my daily driver as I just could not bring myself to buy some sensible hatchback type thing....I love driving and have a passion for cars and the thought of owning something like that is not a pleasant one!

Anyway, ideally I would like a white car that has had the belts done and has no 'rust issues'. As I said, I know 2K is not much but when its all the money you have in the world you don't want to waste it!

Many thanks and I look forward to being part of this forum, Mark[;)]

I don't think you should Be spending "All the Money you have" on a 2K 944..I doubt you'll find one that doesnt Need something doing at that Price!
how about the Lovely 924S..you'll get a Very good one with 2K

I had thought of that but I just don't like the look of the 924 as much......

I take your point re spending all my money on the car but thats purely the car purchase budget with a bit tucked away for maintenance etc

If it's going to be a daily driver then allow at least £1000 every year for regular servicing/ MOT and any repairs. At the £2k end of the spectrum you will be nearly at the bottom end of the market so often may end up paying twice that amount in the first year as people sell them on when a big bill looms.

Try and find the best condition very early car that you can. Inspect the lower body panels very carefully as rust can be a major issue that will cost the most to rectify
