Car washing

Hi all,

Possibly not the right section of the forum but i'm looking for advise for washing the car. Currently I use the Autoglym range of products and happy with the polishes etc, however when I see pictures of people preparing the car for polishing/ waxing the shampoo is really foamy. With the Autoglym shampoo there is little to no foam. Does this foam give a greater cleanse? If so what products do you use?

Take a look in the car care section - a professional valeter has posted a series of articles.

Edit:
Whoops - missed the question on foaming! Sorry...

If Westcliff On Sea has soft water then you will not get any foam at all; probably good as there will be no water marks when drying...

Meguires Gold Class Shampoo is the best that I have found for the money and recommended on a fair few detailing sites. I then use a mixture of Dodo Juice and Poorboys to pre wax, seal and wax etc.

Just let me kinow if you need any more details :)

Chris

When you see a car covered in foam I think they've used one of those snow foam lance thingies....that's about as much as I know as I'm more of yer turtle wash and waxers and then get out and drive it type of owners [8D]
