Hi

Unfortunately, the 996TT won't start. The instrument cluster is showing a n engine sign and the words "Fault Indicator. I have used the garages OBD code reader and it has shown the following codes;

"DTC 9110 DME control unit

DTC Trigger

- ignition on
- possible cause of fault
- Short circuit between CAN - high and ground
- Open circuit of CAN - high drive
- Open circuit of CAN - low drive
- DME control unit faulty

Remember

The CAN drive bus is connected to the following control unit
- DME
- Tiptronic
- PASM and steering angle sensor
- Instrument cluster

Check the follow
- Instrument cluster connector A pin and 31 pin (CAN drive)

The other code is below which is exactly the same as above, except for the DTC 9111 PSM/ABS Control unit bit.

DTC 9111 PSM/ABS control unit

DTC Trigger

- ignition on
- possible cause of fault
- Short circuit between CAN - high and ground
- Open circuit of CAN - high drive
- Open circuit of CAN - low drive
- DME control unit faulty

Remember

The CAN drive bus is connected to the following control unit
- DME
- Tiptronic
- PASM and steering angle sensor
- Instrument cluster

Check the follow
- Instrument cluster connector A pin and 31 pin (CAN drive)"

I have:

- checked the fuses
- the relays drivers side and the rear
- the battery (Bosch) is 6 months old.

Any ideas what this could be?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks(y)
