Car won't start

Gents,

Can anyone help?? I've not used the car for ages (993 targa) and surprise surprise the battery is dead. Charged it up and no joy when I press the immobilser fob.... replaced the key fob battery and still no luck so I'm a little stuck..... any ideas on how to get it to fire??

I've tried to follow the instructions in the handbook but I still can't get the thing to start.....

Does any live locally (Norwich) who can give me some idea what I can do...??

Do you now have plenty of apparent electrical power (ie all lights on dash come on when you switch on ignition, headlights work and full brightnes etc)?

The immobiliser fob does not make the hazards flash once? - or does it flash, but engine does not turn?

Mark,

Not checked the headlights but dash lights fully lit. Feels like the car is just not recognising the fob at all. As soon as battery is connected the alarm sounds. open the door with the key and the horn joins in.... goes on for a few seconds and goes off - tried to follow the instructions in the handbook but every time I turn the key the horn starts to sound again......

Had to leave it as daughter was going to bed and the missus wasn't too impressed with the noise the car (and me) were making.....
