Carbon fiber body panels

I am starting to research carbon fiber body panels for a narrow body 993. I am thinking about bonnet, front wings, doors, rocker pannels, engine decklid, front and rear bumpers, sunroof panel, etc. I have looked at some of the US suppliers such as Getty Design.

I would like to know if any of you can help me

1/ Anybody in the UK done any mods like this?
2/ Anybody know UK manufacturers or suppliers for these parts?

Any help appreciated.

Ian.

The car will be dual use, road and track, so yes the car needs to be road legal and look presentable. I would like it to look standard (ie have a reasonable level of finish). I know the doors may be an issue depending on the roll cage installed so they may have to be excluded.

I am looking at this as part of a lightweight project for use on track but it needs to be driven on the road as well.

Looks like you've answered your own question Ian, if you use it on the road you ned some side impact protection, your body has got to be worth protecting , it's the only one you have. Lightweight fibreglass bonnets distort at high speeds, hopefully carbon fibre won't , it could be an issue so do some more research before deciding on the carbon fibre bonnet. The rest sounds fine though if you can find quality items. I would ring up race teams and find out who supplies them.

Thanks for the feedback, very useful. I had already thought about the doors but not the bonnet. I have also looked at getting an aluminium RS bonnet but they are SO expensive.

I believe G-Force do this stuff. At least they are included in the catalogue they provided, however, they cunningly exclude prices, so you'll have to talk to them.

I guess some people would say it like the cover of your house ....

Could it be that this 'roofer' is also an official manufacturer of (sometimes yellow) cars ?
