Carbon Fibre exterior parts

I may be able to help you out.
I have a friend who runs a body shop company called GTR Motorsport. They have moulds to make replacement panels for the bonnet, boot, clam shell that covers the hood and the rear air vents, non face lift model, already done.
They can do these items in fibre glass or carbon fibre. They are based new Wokingham in Berkshire.
Is this what you are looking for?
Due to the nature of the product they would almost insist that they make, paint and fit the parts you need. I can assure you the work will be of a very high standard.
If you need any furtherr assitance please email me back.
Kind regards Ian
Can we find out more? []
There are 2 brothers that run GTR Motorsport. Tony and and Sean Littlejohn. Tony used to work at Porsche cars GB where he was the train the trainer for all Porsche Cars GB body repiar shops. Sean worked for a Porsche approved body shop.
They both have very high standards. I am currently having my 3.2 carrera lighened for track work including one of the Tony's amazing welded in cages.
So just to recap. Tony has moulds to make the bonnet, boot lid and clam covering the hood in GRP or carbon fibre. The rear air vents are for the pre facelift model.
I am speaking to Tony tomorrow do you want me ask what each item would cost please let me know?
As I said before Tony and Sean would almost certainly like to take the car in make the components, paint and then fit them.
Tony can even paint them so that the carbon weave is either visable or not. Tony also wieghs everything before and after so that you know how much weight you have saved.
Kind regards Ian
I've got a black car, so the plain unpainted look really appeals. However I'm not sure that we're talking Carrera GT standards of carbon finish - that has a substantial looking depth of "gloss" which may be more resin than normally used?
I have asked Tony to look at the cost to make the only bonnet and boot lid in carbon fibre.
Is this OK?
Or do you want the hood cover as well.?
The moulds are very bulky but were made by a chap who does carbon fibre parts for Americas Cup racing yachts.
If the moulds are very good and leave no dents or marks in the weave then it is possbile to lacquer the carbon and polish it to a very high gloss. So it woud look black but shine like glass.
Could this be what you want Mark.
Big Eric as you are based in Glasgow Tony would like to test the moulds and check there quality by making sure that eveyrthing fits before looking to ship parts the length of the country.
I am sure you understand.
Once I ahve the prices for theparts includinga dn excluding fitting I will let you know.
Kind regards Ian
