Thought I would take a picture (not brilliant) before fitting the protectors - the back is finished in the plain weave the front has the diagonla stripe. The Porsche lettering can be applied to either finish. The lettering can be waxed to give it a colour I went for the plain finish.

V. nice. Where did you get them from? I've been thinking of doing some myself and getting them half etched in nickel. I have thought about carbon especially as a friend who makes engine bits in carbon could probably knock some up. The last car I owned I completely filled with aluminium, not going to do the same with this one though as I don't think it would suit it. I would like to put some (dark) blue mats in though, but can only find black.

They are 4 cm wide and flat to sit on the top wide section - on my last car I had the stainless ones that followed the curve and it annoyed me that when the car was viewed from the side they could be seen below the door - it always looked wrong to me. They came from http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/cf/index.html and I had to wait a couple of weeks but I know of someone in the reading area who is planning to sell them along with gauge rings for instruments etc. I don't think his website is ready yet but he probably has some in stock. I will check and post back.

should of said they do not come with any means of attachement - I found some double sided sticky tape at B&Q 38mm x 5m that seems to be perfect 99P a roll (B&Q branded). It certainly sticks to the carbon alright still haven't stuck them into the car - been playing with the messy bits today,

Thats ok, I previously stuck my aluminium dash on with blacktack, didn't budge. What I use alot in my business are thin foam double sided pads which stick like a sticky thing should, from RS.
Have gone for the silver wax, they are going to do it in blue if they can get some. Post a pic. when I get them.
I asked if they did/were going to do any other 944 bits, the guy said that they supplied Prestige Parts, but I haven't seen that much carbon on there especially kick plates.

Last time I spoke to Keith at Prestige Parts he said he could do anything you wanted in carbon - albeit at a price. He also said he uses the same supplier as Porsche themselves, but I thought he said it was in Belgium. He could have changed since then or I could be wrong.

Anyhow, give him anything and he can get it covered in CF and it looks the business - he had some gear knob inserts and bits of Boxster when I was there (back in May or June I think).

They do look pretty cool there Flamin'. I'm trying to work out how I can reject the stainless plates that Belinda got for me, so that I can swap them for carbon.
