hi does anyone make or sell black carpet stes for the 944
or has anyone a good set they want to sell?

also i would like to change my grey leather for a black interiour if any has on in good nick

thanks

Have a look on E Bay. Black sets are available for £14.00 plus postage. Original sets are available for about £70.00 from OPC. Hope this helps.

Southbound Trimmers do a proper, as-original set. They do come up on e-bay, but the quality would probably be pretty poor. To me, there's no point putting in the effort changing them if you use cheap carpet that'll wear faster and probably not fit properly.

I spoke to Southbound at Gaydon last August, they said they do overmats but not full sets as they are preformed and they can't do that. If I misunderstood them, please correct me as I need some.

I had this email from Southbound last week regarding retrimming and carpet sets.

If a new Recaro is about 800 quid, how can 2 covers be 880??
George

I guess they'd say that a recaro is made on a factory line, re-covering by hand in obsolete material costs more. To be fair, they made the decision to buy the stock of fabrics so they are now benefitting from their risk.

Given that a full leather sports interior in excellent condition goes for about £800, though......[8|]

Nicholas, I've checked their website and they supply carpet sets or fit them, POA. I suppose some negotiation is possible in the current climate, but a good used set and a clean wouldn't be the end of the world in my opinion. I'd still be wary of the quality and fit of some e-bay carpet sets in the same way that overmats can vary so much.

did you find any black carpets?
I'm hoping to swap mine out for cream - but this depends on me finding those at a reasonable price.
Assume your in Perth, Scotland?

Sorry - off topic.
