Basically, to get any significant increase in power, you DO have to spend a fortune. Porsche do a very good job of fuel mapping, so there isn't much to be gained there - and any gains might be at the expense of a "safety factor". Inlet and exhausts are also well designed, and although you might get an improvement in sound, you will gain 5-10bhp at best. Consider that Porsche's X51 Power kit has different heads, cams, exhausts etc, and gives about 25bhp.

There is very little you can do to increase a normally aspirated engine. If you had a TT (twin Turbo), then it would be a different matter... Actually the cheapest way to make a C4 faster is to trade it in for a Turbo.
(Please don't take this the worng way!) but personally I would spend the money upgrading the most limiting factor of any car or bike...... the driver/rider ! The more time I spend driving on-track the faster and safer my car is day-to-day. I'm also doing the PCGB ProDrive Driver Training in August to find out more how the car reacts without PSM.
