Hi,
my Carrera 4S presently has a chrome 911 badge on the rear engine cover which I should like to replace with the correct marque badges. I’ve sourced some matte chrome ones from design 911 which I shall purchase but really need a template or measurements from an existing car. Does anyone know where to obtain a template or possibly provide the dimensions for fitting please. I’ve searched pretty much everywhere on google etc but found nothing so would be very grateful for any advice etc. Thanks.

I've seen detailers on YouTube mark the original badge position out with the detailing tape before removal with dental floss or fishing line. You'll need to gently warm the area with a heat gun to soften the badge adhesive first though. This guy is worth watching for how it's done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foUdA-4fzIQ

Many thanks BC997S. Yes I’ve done quite a bit of trawling and found some with measurement. I’ve since fitted the Carrera 4S as about as good as I could and take comfort in the folks that have done similar saying it’s not a perfect art as they were hand applied from the factory. Incidentally I used dental floss to remove the 911 badge. ??.

I see those seem to apply to the more recent 991 & 992 family but mines a 2009 and done now and happy with the results. Back in the day I worked in the PTA at Fords Halewood plant and I had a job whacking in the F O R D letters in the pre drilled holes on the Capri bonnet & boot with a rubber mallet! The Carrera was a bit different??
