Carrera cabriolet top hood motor.

Can anyone advise? I have a model year 1987 Cab and I am looking for a cog repair kit for the top hood motor. I have checked the PET on the Porshe website and it turns out the car must have been an 86 build as the part number on the motor (SWF) is 911.624.056.00. I can only find a repair kit for later motor with the part number 911.624.056.03. Does anyone know if this part will fit the earlier motor. I have asked supplier but they cannot say if it will or not.

any info will be much appreciated.

Hi Mark, welcome to the Forum.
As far as I understand the last two digits are modifications to the part since it was first produced. As the first three segments of the part remain the same I hope the repair kit would fit as it says to me you are looking at the same part, just modified three times over the production run. If the part had changed I'd like to think more than just the last two digits would have changed.
It isn't my money at stake, I understand your predicament, you won't want to be left with a part you can't fit, or return. If it wasn't an expensive part I'd give it a try.
I hope you get a reply from someone more knowledgable that can confirm and give you the confidence to buy.
