Carrera Cup question

Mel, Thanks for the welcome (I think?!). My credentials are: No RS/Cup. Paid up PCA member. Paid up Rennlist-er. PCGB guest. I currently live on the west coast of Uh-merica & have a Rothsport (Jeff Gamroth, ex Alex Job Racing) prepared and lightened '94C2 @1235kg wet inc sunroof/PAS/Heigo Clubsport etc which goes rather well. Not sure if you've heard of Jeff, but he's a well known west coast racer/builder. He currently has a 993RSR : a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4e3jeSDTZ0 When I get back to Blighty for good, I'll likely look for an N/GT or Cup. That said, I just missed the ex Steve Patti N/GT over here (one of the four yellow N/GT's), a couple of months ago. I would have liked to have brought it to the UK. The question I've asked is actually for an American ex Carrera Cup owner who isn't on PCGB. Season's greetings, IanORIGINAL: Melv Greetings. It is customary for first posters to introduce themselves on this forum and incl a brief 964RS/Cup CV!!
ORIGINAL: h_____ Welcome. sounds like a nice car. Sounds like you have a nice car.....got any pictures? I think we've all heard of Alex Job Racing, although I've not heard of Jeff. I ddnt know there were many N/GTs in the US. But I guess they get all over the world. I cant answer the specific question, but I'm sure someone will be along to assist soon.
There are more than you think H! I was looking at Steve Patti's car also and had a few conversations with him. I'll dig out some photos if I can find them. Also entertained a 964 cup car that was for sale in the US for a while, as well as 993 Cup - one of the Obermeier cars. Seems as if the cars made their way over the pond a few years after the respective series ended to be used in PCA competitions. They are not road registered. Need to be careful with definition of 993 RSR in US as a number of cars are described as such but are actually cup cars delivered to PCA that were subsequently converted to RSR spec by PCA. One such car for sale at Rennsport Reunion in 2007 when I was there with Paul Howells and others who were looking round the car, checking numbers etc. Jeff Gamroth's name often appears on the Rennlist 964 forum and is highly regarded by all accounts. Happy Christmas everyone!I ddnt know there were many N/GTs in the US.

At the expense of advertising, Ninemeister of Warrington offer such a kit --- and I know supply parts for third party fit. I would suggest contacting them.ORIGINAL: eean Herr Schmitz has advised the kit comprised uprated springs AND titanium retainers. Makes sense. Season's greetings, Ian
