Carrera cup sticker set

Folks,

I know some of you have done this....do you know where you can buy a carrera cup sticker set (for a set of standard stickers issued) for German Carrera cup for 964s in say 1991/2/3?

I may need a set for the RS.

Dont worry I've no intention of passing minty off as something it isnt, but the scant pics I've got of it racing period, dont allow me to reproduce the pic, and we might need the car in war paint this summer.

cheers

Hugh

Editted to add, assume standard series stickers were....
Roundals
Pirelli number plate
Blaupunkt under the doors
blaupunkt on front screen (or did it say Carrera cup)
Recaro in the side windows
Shell logo and name on rear bumper
Bosch, bilstein and shell logo on front bumper
Pirelli by headlight
Shell mit 2000 on front bonnet

Is that right?

Hugh,

the 1990 look is different from the later years. So you need to know which year you want. There should be a few guys posting soon, they had sets of decals made AFAIK.

Rgds,

OK, thats a little harder then. I dont mind, I'm going to need to sticker the car for Silverstone Classic, standard Cup stickers seems like the right way to go. I kinda dont mind if its 1990, I guess it would nice to have 93 as that was my car year, however, its not a cup....and I'm not trying to say it is a cup. More that the car needs to look "period".

I'd kind of like to leave a sheet on the car, stating " this is the livery of 199x cup cars, although this was never one of them....its something similar but different..it also raced, although we dont have a lot of info on that...."

I'll try to be a bit more articulate of course! :)

Ok - who's had decals done, where did you get them and do you have something I can copy, although I dont want car specific ones?

Sorry Hugh, still looking, but I don't have much to add and I don't do facebook ...

Are you doing Spa early in July ?

I lose track, but was at Anglesey last week .. trying to finish off my PCCB's which was fun but will ultimately involve replacement either with SICOM carbon's or Performance Friction steels ...

Not racing for a couple of years has given me the funds for a GT4 (early August) and for the road an MP412c which is now "cheaper" than a 991 GT3 !! Go figure.

For it's softness on normal roads the 12c hits a real soft spot that Ferraris fail to understand and this is where Porsche will find a market above the 911 ... all they need to do is listen to me [:)]

Sounds like a plan, Chris. Any pics yet?

Hi Chris, Good to hear from you. I think the GT4 will be a great car, probably worth a couple of seasons off racing! Will be interesting to hear how much a step up from the R you think it is. The 12C sounds like a change and should be an amazing car.

I'm doing the spa trip in July (will be first time in nearly 10 years I've not been to spa!), I decided to do silverstone classic instead, and cant fit both in. The spa trip does look like it will be welll supported and great fun though.

Ian thanks for the links, thats really helpful. I need to do a little research now and see what I can come up with.

It really does look like FB has taken a lot of the traffic away, its funny how the world is all moving that way.

Rick at Highgate House should be able to do a full set for you Hugh 07836 633657

Melv, will he have template set to work off too? i.e will know what I want without me describing it all to him?

Hugh, tell us more about your road to Silverstone Classic. It sounds very exciting! I thought about taking the RSR there for this coming edition, but I was too slow off the mark...

Phil - I'm sure its not too late. They are running demonstrating runs 3 sessions, one each day on the silverstone classic calendar. Sadly its not truly competitive, but should be a good laugh. And I think if interest is shown, then they will turn it competitive in a couple of years. I think getting these cars on the agenda for top line events is a great idea. I'll PM you the guys details who is organizing it.

Mel - thanks - will give them a call.

Paul - what problems did you have?
