Carrera s wheel question

Ive been on the look out for some 19" for my car and have came across a chap whos selling a set off his Cayman S.

Ive asked him what the offsets are but he's unable to tell me as there's none stamped on the wheel - i thought usually it was stamped next to the valve - is this the case?

The wheels though are the same size as mine - so should they fit.
front 235/40/18 8[FONT=verdana,geneva"]rear 265/40/18 9.5[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

thought the tyres on 19" rims were 235/35/19 and 265/35/19 respectively.

the offset should be either by the valve or on the inside of the wheel

but are you saying his are 18" carrera wheels as they didn't do the new style carrera s wheel in 18" so may b aftermarket..
or maybe i've misunderstood the question.

the cayman s tyres on mine are definately 235/35/r19 and 265/35/r19 the 18 you quote will not fit my wheels

18" ans 19" wheels for current 987 series cars are interchangeable - thats Boxster and Cayman. Tyre widths for front and rear on 18 and 19 are the same at 235 and 265mm respecitively, but the aspect ratio changes to take account of the larger diameter rim (40 >>35)
