We attended the 1st Salon Prive "Cars and Coffee" at Blenheim Palace this Morning. We left a wet and Grey Purley at 6am hood resolutly down. The heavens opened near juction 10 but cleared as we hit the M40.
The approch to Blenhiem is through the manucured lawns, past the majectic lake and stone bridge. You are then presented with the wonder inspiring frontage.
The main courtyard was reserved for the modern supercars, with the classics in more intimate side entrance.
The cars that stood our for me was a new areo 8 convertible in 70s Porsche light metallic green and silver, a David Brown DB5 evoction based on a XKF for £500k and a metalic purple Phantom.
It was a friendy bunch of partipants and spectators, especially the large Chinese visitor who felt is was acceptable to sit in the Roadster without even asking permission, who did not seem to understand and kept leaning and touching. There were many empty slots so perhaps the weather early on put off some of exhibitors.
A interesting mix in spectacular surroundings I will definatly be applying for future events.
