Cars for Stoke Goldington Steam Rally

Sorry but I am new to the club and may have missed earlier post on this. Are you looking for cars to show or are you just asking out of interest?

I am planning to attend on the Saturday, possibly to even return on the Sunday - but I will be honest and say it does slightly depend on the weather [:(]

David, the club has an area to display the cars up towards the top of the field, not sure if its too late to apply for tickets, the link is still on their website.
Whilst the weather has been against the event recently (its in the UK, so to be expected I guess[;)]) its a great show

Agreed that the weather is a factor given we are essentially parking in a field. Perhaps we should ensure at least on Cayenne is present!

The space allotted is both parking and show - I don't know if it will be roped off - will ask. I presume (hope) there isn't a requirement to stay with your car for "what's that bit do?" purposes!

In previous years its been an open area for the crowd to view the cars.
Tony used to take the regions Gazebo, which did shelter us from the sunshine [&:] and create a central point.

Picture from last years event.

We haven't put ropes up before as it's good for people to get close to the cars. Prefereably not too close with ice creams though.

Oil be there all w/e if weather any good.

And that's the 964RS Reg gazebo -believe Mike Pink now has it???

It's weather extremes this show, last year was (almost) too hot and the year before I had to be towed in behind a tractor![&:]

Melv

I only have one Gazebo - and I assumed that was the one I gave Tony previously - ie the R10 one.[8|] I'll speak to him.

We're hoping to make it again this year, but can only do Sunday. It was very hot last year but we'd prefer that to the usual wet weather we've heard so much about!

I didn't realise that there are actually two display areas for Porsches, so there is still a little space left in the PCGB area.

Well the weather forecasts show sunshine but windy [:)] for the weekend.
And with no rain today it could be good under foot.

See you there Helen for a tea [;)]

Has just rained here but now the sun's out! I might visit the field this afternoon - Melv might be there already.

I've just been putting my paperwork together and noticed a reminder for every exhibit to sign their Declaration.
or you have to do it on the gate....[;)]

Thanks to all who attended (4 cars Saturday, 7 today) for helping to make this year's Rally a success.

Fantastic weather for both days, although the wind on Saturday made erecting the gazebo a bit more of a challenge.

Hopefully Turbo Ted will appear later, but meanwhile Melvin had a friend with him:

Chris, well done for pulling the event together under the last minute scramble.
Great weather today and as you say a little windy yesterday [:)]

Thoroughly enjoyed the show and look forward to next years event [:D]
Tted will make an appearance later in the week but pleased to see modest mouse already showing [:D]

Would be nice to see a greater regional support of what is a superb event to show at.. and have more cars than the Trevor club [;)]
