Just been looking on Lotus club website (sorry) and noticed a do on at Newby Hall. Large informal gathering of all sorts of tasty motors and car clubs if anyone fancies it.
Have a look on Newby hall website under special events. Should make a good day out. Looks like tickets may need to be booked though so perhaps if anyone is interested post it on here to gauge interest.

Thanks - got there by putting "cars in the park newby hall" in to Google and then using Alfa owners site.

Looks like a good do and would seem to be May 9th.

Nice run out - anyone else thinking of going?

There is also a cars in the park website: http://www.carsinthepark.org.uk/ We have been to a couple of these, if the weather it can be a good day out. It does seem to be mostly TVRs, Renaults and Lotus's (what is the plural of Lotus?) Still a good day out though.

I'll probably be taking my family - went last year and was a nice day out. Newby Hall grounds are lovely and usually other stuff happening.

There was an Orange Miura there for sale last year... £350,000 !

Yes we'll be there, there's also a plant sale on at the same time, take a plastic bag, don't want compost in the car!

Hi,

Its a bit of a private event. I basically hire the field for CITP event and the venue decides if they wise to advertise.
Newby put us on the website last year but are a bit slow this year. I normally advertise by my mailing list.
We are sharing the flowershow day at newby, so extra stuff to look at.

You get a significanly reduced entrance fee to the ground, and a lot of nice metal to look at.
The event is open to a wide range of sports cars and it could do with a bigger porsche group representation.
Having said that we get other prosche groups turing up.

Regards
Chris
