Yes it's Mark who had Throttle Shop who was the seller.

His attitude and assistance has been superb and he made sure Andy was looked after and happy with his purchase. Even when he got home with a small issue, Mark resolved it and made sure it didn't cost Andy any money.

Yes he has had some indifferent press previously, but from what I've seen of this car and the way he has looked after the customer I think he needs to be given a Big Positive this time. Regarding the name change Mark would need to tell you why as I don't know but I presume some mud sticks and he is trying to get a clean start?

He is a Dealer after all and will make profit on the cars he sells, but we all work to make money to pay the bills so why should a Car Dealer be any different.

I wasn't implying anything. I just wondered why the back ground was the same as Buchanan motors used. I remembered them from the black 968 cs that they had for sale a couple of years ago.

Hi Colin, I wasn't accusing anyone of being negative or trying to imply this [:)], but for a change I felt that the Dealer deserved some praise on a Forum rather than getting accused of being a 'Shark' and making money out of people with backstreet trader practices.

He seems to be able to find cars with low miles and lots of history and obviously spends time getting them detailed and serviced to make them presentable and saleable to the viewing public. I imagine some of the cars we see advertised we skim over the adverts as they are not prepared for sale to a standard we would want or are sold needing a few jobs done which some me included would expect to be done before they are offered for sale [8|]

Thanks Martin, and thank you Andy. You have a lovely car there.

A little explanation.. Throttle Shop is still trading but only non Porsche cars. The Modern Classic Car Co is a new business specifically handling Porsche only (and the very odd classic).

My brother and I have been selling cars for 10years and it has not been a smooth run, especially at the beginning which was much of a scramble and hand to mouth. It has been a long road and a huge learning curve. Any back street tactics or truth economy is a long time past. We are here for the long haul and will bend over backwards to see cutomers are delighted and strive to maintain a very public reputation with our Facebook page and website.

If there is a car advertised by The Modern Classic Car Co, you can expect it to be right off the top shelf and can expect the chap who buys it to be delighted. We want to keep that customer for the rest of his driving days. We have many delighted customers, it's a shame there are not more of them on the forums, though I think there are more than a few 944 owners here who have a car from us, three at least I know of.
