Caster mount bush woes

Decided to take off the other caster mount bush on my 968 today, as when my specialist installed the powerflex bushes, he didn't put in the the nylon washers to prevent it from creaking against the caster adjuster. I did the other side, with no problems, but when putting the bolts back on, one of the bolts started stripping its thread. It's stuck in there now (just keeps turning either way) and when I try to put the bolt on the other side, it starts stripping the thread on that one too.

I didn't quite line it all up properly, and the car is at home, so can't really drive it anyway because the caster mount is obviously an important component, as it holds the front control arm on.

What can I do now, apart from cry?

I assume you are not talking about the eccentric bolt, but the mounting bolts?

I guess your option would be to retap the thread. You may need to put an insert into it however.

Yeah, it's the mounting bolts that go into the floor pan.

With a little help, managed to successfully get the other bolt in, without cross threading it. The mount is secure, so I'll book it into a garage close to where I work and hopefully get it all sorted on Wednesday. I'll be driving like a granny on the way there though....
