In classic bite the hand that feeds you mode the round of the Porsche Club championship that we have visited for the last three years does not have a fxture there this year. All I know is that the previous incumbent at the circuit passed away and it under under new management. We can watch all the minor fomulae anywhere we like so for me Castle Combe without the Porsches will not be the same, and even if we went I doubt that we would get the same great deal on tickets or the reserved parking like we have in previous years.

Yes, a great shame as this day has been a PCGB and also TIPEC focal point for a number of years, although latterly on a smaller scale. No-one seems able to say if it was the decision of the circuit or the championship organisers.

What a shame! I've really enjoyed our visits to Castle Combe. Perhaps we can support the series at another circuit? I know several of us really enjoyed walking around a paddock full of Porsches!

To increase our options when it comes to local circuits we could consider the speed championship as well as the circuit racing championship. That makes Goodwood an option I think.

Part of your mission to take sprints and hill climbs seriously, James?!

I agree. Lots of other venues I've not been to, looking forward to that.
