Hi to you all

The Castle Combe action day is coming up and is an event usually supported well by our region. There are 12 free places available on our stand as usual but at the moment I am told by Tony we only have three Porsche`s confirmed and if we do not have some more by the weekend he will have to consider pulling out. Space is limited and the organisers will not tolerate poorly attended stands. The details are in Porsche Post page 67. Elaine and myself will be there and I will have the race car on the stand and will be doing a couple of sessions just to get ready for the start of the race season the following weekend at Brands Hatch. I can easily put the passenger seat in if anyone wants a ride so please get in touch with Tony to support this event.

Hope to see some of you at Castle Combe on 28 April or at our club night on 21 March. Unfortunately we will not be at the April club night as we will be on holiday, returning to the UK on 25 April "" alright for some!!

The Race car has been on a diet and shed 40 kg so Saturday will be the first time out at the new weight, it could also be the first time out in the wet so that will also be interesting.
I have one session at 9.45 am and another at 12.45 pm. Looking forward to getting in the car again for some laps in preparation for the start of the season at Brands next week.
Let's hope the weather clears up a bit and we all have a good day, See you tomorrow.
Cheers, Stu

ps Elaine has lost her phone inc all contact numbers, we will both be there saturday and my mobile is 07942184927

I'm really gutted that I will not be able to make it tomorrow - sounds like it will be fun!

Stuart - I spotted you on the M5 this afternoon in your van towing the boxster - you were heading south and I was heading north!

See you all soon

Mick

As usual the weather forcast was all wrong, rain all morning and the odd shower in the afternoon.

Elaine was my passenger for the first go and the track was like an ice rink with cars snaking around even on the straights. It was a steep learning curve and lots of useful info about the handling.
Went out on my own in the afternoon on a damp track and that was so much better.

It was good to see Tony there and we were all grateful that he had the new gazeebo up. We had 7 or 8 cars on the stand but not suprisingly some did not come due to the weather.

As Stuart says the weather produced some 'interesting' moments on track and obviously blinded some of the drivers as to the no overtaking areas.

It was nice to meet those who braved the weather and a big thank you to Tony for organising the stand and Ben for the passenger ride.

Hopefully see you all again soon.

PS - Good luck at Brands next weekend Stuart

Nick
