Castor mount bolts

After investigating a knocking from the front nearside, I discovered a castor mount bolt wasn't fully tight. I gave it a couple of turns only to find it wont tighten up.
I'm sure I read about this before but can't find a thread.
Do the bolts tighten into a captive nut or is the body section threaded?
Is there any access to the inside of this section (Nearside)?
I've not tried to remove it as it's in quite tight, just not tightening fully, I may have to drive the car to get it fixed.
Does anyone have any recommendations or point me to a previous thread.

Looks like I need a Helicoil kit for an M10 1.5 pitch bolt (£33 after a quick google)
Anyone know any cheaper places?
