Cat scratches car

I'm standing in car park next to my car, talking to a customer on my phone, when a cat walks up and start mewing at me. So loudly I have to apologise to customer who is wondering what the noise is.

Anyway, cat jumps up on rear wing of car still trying to get my attention but the car's wet and cat does not get a good grip.

Slides off Tom & Jerry style with claws out...

I don't believe it! Two thin white lines down the paintwork.

OK, worse things have happened to a car and I'm sure they will polish out, but I could not believe it's that easy for a cat to damage a car[&:]

I know what you mean, i recently had my 993 carrera fully resprayed, weeks after went to a car show and it showerd quite a bit, anyway not a problem - i leathered the car off inbetween showers only to find out when i got home "under garage lights" that there is several lengthy hairline white marks/scratches in the paint.

Hopefully they will polish out with time.

I'm worried about why this cat was so interested in you [sm=kiss.gif]:ROFLMAO: ? Was it a Furrurri cat?

Sorry, not funny [:)] I sympathise with you. My cat had a habit of sitting on my car & NOTHING kept it off until I had to spend £1300 on a new garage door! Now the garage roof just leaks on the car []

I believe that Zymol HD Cleanse was being supped by kids in America, so they had to put fish oil in it (according to the valeting guy at Specialist Cars of Malton when I spoke to him at Harewood House earlier this year). Does you car like Zymol?! Cat would have great taste! :p

On my way to the station I pass a house with a gorgeous ginger kitten and a SAAB convertible. Said kitten loves to sleep on the roof of the car in the sun, which is cute, but has also discovered that the roof is the perfect scratching post; you just sit on the boot and theres this huge area to sharpen your little claws on...................

hi mark-take a look at cayman club moderators atlas caymans after a cat worked its way round the entire bodywork-an awful mess literally swirls of scratches over bonnet and wings-woodsy was not pleased!!

Our cats go in the sunroof and sleep in the footwell.

Best thing is not to polish it to much so the little darlings can get a grip without digging their claws in.

Why not put a large and ferocious dog, or even a photo of such a hound, near the car? Any sensible cat will go elsewhere to find a quiet car to desecrate.

Amazing how things escalate on this forum.

A minor post about a miscreant animal now has lawyers involved[:D]

Zymol seems to be the problem then....

Mark

Do you have something against lawyers? Some of my best friends are lawyers.

I do feel that a headline "Car scratches cat" would be more eyecatching.
