Cayenne, a safe SUV?

Hi all.

I am a happy 996 driver, but now with family it is a "bit" small...[8D]
So, I am looking around for a SUV to transport the family safe in.

A 2010-2011 model is what I look for.
But, is the Cayenne as safe as a Mercedes Benz ML? Thinking about safety gadget as seat bealt pre tensioners, side airbags and so.
What was standard in 2010?

Hope some can help me, us, out.

A bit hard to find out, not so much information about the Cayenne.
Maybe it is just me....
Was side airbag also standard? In the back seat to?

They are very cool, looks apart, not something you find on every street corner.
And, the 996 is so good, they are sure well made cars Porsche.
