Cayenne ballast

Hi guys,

I am new babies of our forum and have a cayenne GTS , recently one of my HID control unit (ballast) is broken down. The unit has following detail :
Porsche Cayenne GTS 2008.
Manufacture : Hella
+ Hella's part no.:5DC 009 285-00
+ 12 V.
+ 036813003891 AH DOT 2000h Al99.5
+ D1S
+ Porsche's part no.: 955.631.194.02
HW-Version :3.0
SW-Version VR 8.0
Diagnostic-ID: 8

I had check with my local dealer and they said this part have discontinue manufacture and it's replace by part 955.631.194.02, the new part has to be change on both side and need to reconfig as we'll to word with the car. So do you have any advice about this case. Thanks for your help.

if it was me i'd look for a second hand unit from a specialist breakers / salavage to match the one you have if at all possible. I would guess the levelling system for the lights would need to be calibrated via a Porsche system tester or durametric if you bought new units. Might be worth posting on rennlist or renntech forums for more info. More tech info there than here i'm afraid.
