Hi All
I took ownership of a new Cayenne Diesel January 2013. I put alot of extra,s on the car and one was the 21 inch turbo wheels and they came fitted with Pirelli P Zero 295/35.R21 107Y tyres. Grip and performance is fantastic with these tyres, but unfortunately with only 9K miles done the tyres need replacing.

Has anyone with a Cayenne out there using any different tyre sizes/manufacturers or could they share their knowledge as regards mileage on the tyres they are using.

The car i have is just great, regards fuel consumption i am getting low 31/34mpg locally and i did get 43mpg on a long journey.

Ps One local tyre supplier has mentioned that Yokohamas are being used by a customer of his and mileage is alot better ?????

Hi,
I'd go for the Yokohama Advan n0 , I had these on my Cayenne turbo S for 19,000 miles and on selling last week the last pair had just above the tread wear indicators, a pair had to be replaced due to screws in the treads at various times they are quite soft but give excellent grip?

£ porsche dealer quoted £320 a tyre fitted and balanced last week before I pushed the button on changing the Cayenne mid week.

Mine came with Michelin Latitude Sports on 20" rims. They are seemingly very durable, as I've done nearly 20,000 in the car, but from November to early February had winters on, so say 16,000 of that on the Michelins. There's still a couple of thousand miles wear left on them, so will probably wait until the autumn and do a swap over then.

I think the performance of the Diesel encourages a less 'press on' mentality in me, as my previous V8s used to eat tyres, more in the 9-11k range.

I selected the 'all weather' option on my MY13 Cayenne Diesel and it came with Goodyear on the Wheels (19-inch Cayenne Turbo wheel - All-Season tyres for 19-inch one-piece
alloy wheels, rolling resistance optimised). Seems like there's different tyre options depending what's spec'd.

My 2012 Cayman R came with Michelin.

Cayenne 20" 'All Season' is normally Continental Cross Contact. I got 28,000 mls from a set, with tread left. Very nice tyres.
