Cayenne GTS Colour Combo

I am going to the OPC to spec a GTS for March Delivery.

Playing around with the 'Configurator' on the Porsche website the GTS Red and sand beige interior quite apeals to me. The metalic gold quite appeals to my quirky side but it would mean a black interior and I am fed up with black interiors.

What say you on Cayenne colours ?

Not a fan of gold, personally, but the red certainly looks the business in the press packs.

Blimey!!!
Was there anything left on the extras list?
That will be an awesome piece of kit and will look quite different from our usual black/grey/silver KN's.
Great stuff.

Great looking specs: one question.

TV Analogue. Will that not become redundant when Digital comes in? Or have I missunderstood what that it means?

Ignore my drivel, I have re-read the specs and seen the Digital upgrade.

Note to self, get some more braincells.

Great choice, mine is due 1st March 2008 and I specd mine up last month , went for black interior due to two young children, however I will be looking for some tailored seat covers to protect the alcantra. Its a shame you cant opt for full leather interior.

I was also hopeing there would be a seven seat option, even if it was a small foldable bench seat in the boot.

Hi Justin,

That is a pretty full spec too.

I pondered on two of the options you have chosen. I have had Mercedes linguatronic and also we have a voice controlled BMW. Both systems are so frustrating as 'Doris' can never actually get things right and I now have given up talking to her. The Salesman at the OPC agreed with me too. On the tyre pressure monitoring system that also seems to be a bit hit and miss and I now occasionally look at the pressure readout but the readings seem to lack a consistency.

It is pretty wierd that you can't have full leather.

Did you play around with the OPCs configurator ! ? The OPC's configuraator is vastly different to the Public access configurator on the Porsche website. some of the options are quite bizzare.

Hello Tony

You are quite correct when you talk about the OPC online configurator, its similar to the online one on www.porsche.com however there are options that you or I wouldnt see, like dog guards and sump grills.
I did ask if I could pay to have non standard full leather interior and was told that sir could have whatever he wanted for a price and although a definative quote wasnt given I was told it would be north of 5K.
I agree with your TPM comment, I had this on my last 997 as that car wasnt a daily drive and would quite often be in my garage without moving for long periods of time I thought it would be good to have. As for Doris, my wifes Avensis had Voice Recognition and although it wasnt 100% acurate it did prove amusing for other passengers.
Lets hope the Porsche one is better than the phone system in my old 997.

Its getting near the time to replace my daily runner so I've been doing a comparison check with the usual suspects (X5,Range Rover Sport, Cayenne, ML and Touareg)
Seeing as the VW & Porsche cars are similar (developed together anyway) I just checked out some of the option prices - not surprised Porsche are SO profitable.
Panoramic sunroof - P = £2180 VW - £745 X5 - £1190
Powerlift tailgate - P £427 VW - £95 X5 - £370
Roof rails - P £563 VW - £95 X5 Std
I think I've spent enough with Porsche already!!
Graham
