Cayenne Hybrid charging flap not working

Google tells me there are a few filler flap solenoid issues out there, but can't find anything specific to the Hybrid filler flap. Has anyone any experience with this? I recently purchased the car, but didn't notice it's not locking or unlocking. It appears the solenoid has failed. The fuel filler one works fine, but the hybrid one does nothing. So, should it operate with the same filler switch actuation from the drivers footwell or is there a hidden switch somewhere else?
If it's failed as I suspect it has, does anyone have experience of replacing it?
It's not a big problem. The flap is flush, but not locked and I thought I might have a go at fixing it. It wasn't a main dealer purchase and taking it back or seeking costs from the dealer I bought from will likely be more hassle than it's worth.
Thanks in advance.

The MY 2024 owners manual has instructions to open the flap in event of the unlocking mechanism failing .. I assume your MY has similar instuctions .. have a play around and see if something is jammed / visibly wrong ??

The charge port door is locked when the car is locked and unlocked when the car is unlocked. There is no separate switch to do it. Or at least that is the case on the Panamera. There is also a locking mechanism operating through a hole in the skirt of the plug meaning that you can't unplug if the car is locked. It also won't start charging unless the plug is locked in place.

Both of these mechanisms are negatively affected by very cold weather. If kept outside it is impossible to keep water out which then freezes meaning you either can't unplug it, can't retain the charge port door latched closed or can't open it.

Thanks for the replies. Mine is a 2016 model and doesn't have the same access panel in the boot. See attached photo. No obvious easy access. I think that grill is for a speaker in the boot, but again not easy access. Probably something to just live with, but I may get it checked out at some point...20250412_105909.JPG
