Cayenne or Cayenne S

Hi.
Looking for some owners advice here.
I've taken a Cayenne 3.2 2006 pre facelift as a p/ex.
Now from my earlier post you may have gleaned I want to buy one for the family.
However, this p/ex car is not neccessarily the one.
It's a 3.2 and it seems too slow to me on a 10 mile test drive.
What is the consensus of opinion here
4.5 V8 (seems a good choice as I have a similar breed of V8 in my Audi S4 Avant) or is a 3.2 enough?
Economy difference between the two in real world terms?
Any advice gladly accepted!
Andrew.

Go for the V8 every time.
Much more power less straining of the engine and very little diference in fuel economy

Real world?
My first S averaged 18.6mpg over 60,000 miles. The new 'more economical' S is averaging 19.4mpg over the last year and 18,000 miles. So yes, I guess it is a bit more economical. Lots of local driving so you'd probably get a bit more on longer trips. We got 24 on a run down through France and Spain.

Thanks that's all taken on board,

In truth I suspected the V8 would be the one I would want.

Next question - the 3.2 I've taken in a part ex on an Audi recently was coil sprung.

Seemed too bumpy for me.

What do you all think of air suspension?

I'm a bit hung up on it as I want it to be comfy for my baby in the back

IMHO go for the air suspension if you can - I've had both and there is a worthwhile benefit to air, particularly for passengers in the back so I'm reliably informed - though whether it is worth the initial extra premium is debatable! At secondhand price levels there's not much difference I suspect.
