Cayenne S E-Hybrid Motor Failure

Hi, my 2017 <5k miles Cayenne S E-Hybrid is in the shop today being stripped back with Germany looking at the fault codes and diagnostics. Evidently it could be a motor or recharging failure but it is limited to 'recovery mode'. Has anyone else had any issues with the power train in the latest generation E-Hybrids? Porsche dealer says that it is unheard of, but if nothing else, I have heard that before!

Must say, Porsche Assist were amazing though, providing me with a replacement BMW and taking the Cayenne to my preferred (not nearest) dealer.

I've also covered over 30k miles. Have been having intermittent problems with the charging unit (not charging) and these are becoming more frequent so waiting a call back from PC Guildford (customer service has been less than inspiring since collecting the car in Oct 16 - the best example being that it spent several days in a body shop after they damaged the front bumper in forcing open the bonnet when the release cable became disconnected while they fitted a new rad!).

Hi, thanks for your post, since my note PC Hatfield have said that it is the cables feeding the charging unit - whatever that is. It was failing to charge properly. Still in the shop though because they broke the exhaust clips while taking that off. Hoping for a call today to say it's ok but they cant test until its all back together!

Choosing my Porsche gift as compensation on their web site right now...

Also north of 30K miles and faultless... apart from 3 punctures which (a) are not really Porsches fault but (b) are not "fun" with the 21 inch tyres :ROFLMAO:
