Cayenne S footwell lights

Can anyone help with this question?
My OPC cant figure it out, but maybe someone with a Cayenne could tell me whether their interior footwell lights remain on when your headlights are on. We don't have the comfort pack, but I am absolutely sure that when I first had the car, the lights remained on (but dimmeed) as long as the headlights were during driving. Now, the footwell lights only ever come on when I stop the car and turn the ignition off.
This change happened along with some other electrical problems which were fixed, but now Porsche are telling me they dont know whether they should be off or on. I preferred them on to be honest.

you can set the level of interior lighting in the footwell. It stays on all the time. I forget how to do it (will have to dig the manual out) but I do remember you have to press a switch and as you hold it the brightness increases until its really bright and then it starts at the begining again as dark. I have mine turned down pretty low as I found it distracting.

i've been beaten to the answer..[:D] im not keen on having them on while driving as i too find them distracting.

i also find if the passanger uses the glove box light for reading directions it's less distracting to the driver than the overhead map reading light.

I have the answer. switch on the roof - passenger side next to the switch for the map reading light. press and hold and it will cycle through the light levels.
