Cayenne Space Saver Spare Wheel

Hi,

I recently bought a 2008 Cayenne that came with a tyre repair kit (sealant/compressor).
I am trying to source a space saver spare wheel but can only seem to find them through official Porsche dealers for £570.

Does anybody know if there are other places to get hold of them?
Secondly the cost does not include the pump (another £290). Will the pump that I already have with the repair kit suffice?

Any advice gratefully received!

Best place is EBay Penny unless someone here has one.
Prices anything from £80 to £200.
Check, but other VW wheels will fit. Toureg for example .
If you dont carry a lot of luggage around you could even try a full size one
which i do if going long distance .
No reason why the pump you have wont do the job
Kevin.

I needed a spare wheel for my 2011 model Cayenne. There were none on ebay. I bought a Touareg spacesaver wheel from VW
which is exactly the same fitment (same wheel but different stickers) for less than half the price of the Porsche one.
So, for a 2008 Cayenne, I assume you could use a spare / spacesaver from the equivalent age VW Touareg.
I did buy the genuine Porsche jack / wheelbrace, as the VW one does not fit. It was, surprisingly, about the same price as the VW one.
The compressor should work fine.

Fixed for you .... you had a forum profile not linked to your membership record.

Hello Penelope,

as it would happen I have from our now departed Cayenne S an inflatable space saver (unused) together with it's securing bracket and tool (your compressor will inflate it). As we are no longer replacing our Cayenne with another I will willing to sell the set for £175. I am Reading based but can probably work out a mutual drop off if you would like it.

ps. To all I also have the boot liner (used) and a set of the Porsche rubber mats (light use) available.

Penelope if you dont mind me asking ,did you go the VW new route or Ebay ?
I will need to start a new thread on wheels.

Hi Kevin,

My father in law has found one at a car scrap yard for £20. He's going to look at it tomorrow and if good will buy it.

Bit different from Porsche's £570 that's for sure. Too much for the second hand market.

I'm surprised it's been this difficult to source this.

When i looked a year or two ago there were plenty on E bay but
a lot dearer than yours will be if it is in good condition .
