Cayenne tailgate problems

We have had our cayenne since November and have had a few problems. We didn't order the power close (comfort) and find it difficult to shut tailgate unless window/door open. We have spoken to our dealer who have said that they know it is a problem but cannot retro fit the power close system. Don't think this is acceptable on a prestige car of this type. Also tail hatch not worked since lasy year and still waiting on part to fix.

Anybody else with these problems???

Thanks

The rear window microswitch fails with water ingress. Apparently new design replacement due in new few weeks to repair those (mine included) who have this problem.

Yes I had lots of problems on my BMW X5 had to really slam the door otherwise up popped the alarm. This drove me to despair on the car so I ordered on the Porsche ordered the 'soft close' option which has resolved the problem. I do nt know why they do not fit this as standard, it was on my BMW 7 series

Power close:
When I was speccing my cayenne the salesman showed me two vehicles, one with power close, one w/o. Convinced me to go for it.
The microswitch problem is relating to the rear window, not the whole rear door. The rear window has no power closing and still requires a hefty shove, or a least I seem to remember it does as mine has refused to open for the last month and a half!

I have Power close on mine. Its still a pig to close if all the other doors are closed. Must be an air pressure problem.

A few little problems with the car especially the Radio, BUT get behind the wheel and drive, it still makes me smile.. (when I am listerning to a cd[;)] )
