Hi all,

Has anybody any experience of using the Cayenne as a tow vehicle?
I am likely to need one soon and as there is now a cheap(er) model now available it becomes a possibility.
Any experiences, good or bad, gratefully received along with any other useful option suggestions if used for towing - air suspension?

Thanks

Melv,
Thanks for the sole reply.
Can't be many 'towers' on here !
When was the article? As a newbie I only have the last 3 issues of PP.
Thanks

I'll have a look, but basically he was mighty impressed towing his race car and various others. It replaced a Range Rover. And he can still outdrag most things from the lights, WITH a loaded trailer...

Be very afraid..... [:D]

Surely more than one uses a KN for other than shopping and quick trips to the garden centre![:D]

Just go ahead and tow -it won't be a problem!!

NB, if you haven't towed b4, there is a lot of advice on the 'net, + courses avlble.

should be ideal - the recomendation is that the weight of the vehicle being towed is less than 85% of the weight of the towing vehicle, this leaves a huge range of options out there for you therefore. The Toureg has been tested as a tow-car and comes highly rated - the cayenne should therefore be even better. I would suggest the air suspension as it add extra stability. Just stand back and wait for the wails and knashing of teeth when the purists see their first cayenne towing a caravan however!!

Thanks guys,

Wasn't hinking of towing a caravan, more like my GT3RS to track days.

Sorry, dreaming of a lottery win again!
More like something like this
