Cayenne Turbo excessive oil consumption

My 05 Cayenne Turbo with 28k miles has so far has had a rebuilt engine due to very high oil consumption. I have travelled a further 1285 miles since the rebuild and have just had to add a further 2.5+ litres of oil. Anyone got any views on this issue, heard of other cars with similiar issues, know something that might help my plight? I've tried rejecting the car but to no avail (yet!) I am aware of another similiar car with same problem.
Appreciate any advice.....

cayenne turbo and turbo s do have quite a high oil consumption, the advice we got from pcgb when we had this problem at opc was they use 1 litre of oil every 600 miles , true or not only other cayenne turbo owners can tell you.
we did a consumption test on a turbo s to find it was about right..

There seems to be differing consumption/mileage ratios around. My car has had new rings and 1 exhaust valve so nothing really that needs a running in period that may cause higher than average oil consumption. I never see blue oil smoke from the exhaust nor any physical leaks so any idea's where the oil might go or how it's burnt?

Presume that the turbo is oil cooled....so maybe some run at a higher temp than others ? or depends on if you use the power..if you dont warm them up & cool them down it will cause excessive wear and oil consumption IMO. Used to have Subaru Impreza STi's last one new with 360bhp, was always very careful and never really used boost until oil temp was up and after any journey always left it to idle to cool the turbo down.... never used any oil and that was sold with 40K not the 28k you have.

Perhaps they design them to use oil/ or just think that if you can afford the fuel whats a couple of extra litres of oil!!
