Hi


Should I sell or keep .. at the moment I dont use my Cayman . The car has only covered 1600 miles from factory .

Should I keep and upgrade or sell ...

upgrade options.

Has anybody any experience of having the sport button fitted as a after market option .

I would like to improve my throttle response .. So I though of the following ..

Pedal Box , IPD Plenum,

Any Thoughts

Yes no many is it ... but along came my little girl and space became an issue ... but thinking of what to do with it sell it or keep it .....

 
Oh I see, well as long as you get the time to enjoy the return on whatever you planned to spend then great. If not then yes sell it as that is a crying shame. I for one would be more than happy to put some miles on it for you [:)]

 
Sell it, you have not used it so won't miss it.

A sport button is not going to make you drive it imo.

 
I thought I was bad at 1500 miles a year, but 1600 in five years!

Unless you get a dramatic change in circumstances that enables you to use it a lot more, I agree with previous posts - sell it.

As it stands the depreciation is not good for you and the idleness is not good for the car.

 
I'm having the sport button fitted next month so can give you an idea of the difference it makes.....if you've still got it then?

 
Had the sport and sport plus upgrade done to mine this week. I can now see why people say why it's an important option for the PDK. The changes are most noticeable in auto mode. Particularly sport plus where it just doesn't want to change up until you get up to the redline. Upchanges then produce a real kick in the back. In paddle mode there's not much difference except if you go to the redline where you get those same kicks on the upchange.

For road driving I can see that sport mode would be a benefit when driving in auto mode. However, I prefer paddle shifting which feels pretty much the same with sport on or off. I can't see sport plus being any use on the road because it makes the car too highly strung. However, on track I expect it to be ideal! So for me, the sport/plus upgrade is more of a necessity for us trackies.

 
Why don't you just go the whole hog and make your car a track day special......assuming you are a keen driver, that is. Plenty of advice on the mods available on this forum.

1600 miles in 5 years of ownership, is not using your Porsche 987.2 as it was intended. If family commitments prevent daily use, go for the track day option is my advice.

You'll soon get to know your car a lot better.........maybe improve your driving skills also.

If this doesn't appeal, a Sport Button is of little consequence. Sell it.
