Cayman/Crossfire

Just drove home behind a Chrysler Crossfire - anyone noticed how similar they are to a Cayman from the back?

Best description I've ever heard of the rear of a crossfire - 'looks like a dog having a crap'

Funnily enough, knowing that analogy, I cant look at one now without seeing that image..

Helen - the Crossfire is based on the last SLK but apparently even worse to drive! Avoid!

Alan,

how many Caymans have you followed?

At this point probably more alligator-like reptiles of Central America and South America than Stuttgart designed 4-wheeled internal combustion engined motor vehicles - until November comes around...

Let's hope Cayman drivers are a little more friendly than their mid-engined brethren ;)

"Thank You"

I agree with with both renquist & Alan, the cayman does look ugly from the back and not disimilar to a squashed crossfire...[&:]
I long for the days there was only 911 and nothing else.....[8|]

When was that exactly - forget the 356 did we?

JCB..

That would be the heady days of autumn 1969 then (Post 356/912, pre 914) - if there even was a month that the 911 was the only model, unless you mean the 1996 model 993? (Post 968, pre Boxster).

Dunno what's a Boxter?

Are your comments supposed to endear us to you.

JCB..

LOL even after editing it I still spelled Boxster wrong (must use that preview feature eh?). Just for the record I do like the Cayman - and the Boxster for that matter - and I am sure most if not all the Boxster owners on this forum are cool it's just that we've found them the least friendly of Porsche owners and the least likely to acknowledge older (pre-Boxster/996) models that's all.
"Thank You".
