Owned my car for just over six months. It’s a proper Jersey car, low miles, full history, lots of extras and only 29,000 miles on the clock.

I’ve only got one key. I’d love two, asked the Porsche Dealer here for a price….

Key, blade & fob - £372 (at least a week from order from Germany). Coding - £205 (in Workshop)

Sounds pretty steep or is that about right?

Done plenty on the car so far.

Under my ownership.
Air con regas
Four wheel alignment
New tyres
Drop links and roll bar bushes replaced
New Bosch battery
Wheel centres
PCCM+ install - Expensive but a brilliant update
Full detail and ceramic coating

Still to do

Coil pack
Spark plugs
Brake discs
Pads
Braided hoses

Price for the key sounds about as expected to me - not many places can go it "properly" - ie without cloning / faking a key - and tallies with what it costs for most manufacturers (I paid 350 for a toyota about 15 years ago).

One hidden benefit - right now, someone somewhere may have a key that will happily unlock and start your car - after the new key is coded - then this "lost" key will no longer be able to disarm the alarm ( remote ) or start the car ( immobiliser ) - the mechanical lock will still work of course.
