Hi, Anyone out there ever fitted a mesh to protect thee radiators from debris ? If so wheres the best type and from who ? Is it really worth buying/fitting them ?

Cheers Shaun

Easy enough to do it yourself with some mesh and cable ties see picture. Just make up a pattern with cardboard and cut out grills.

I made my own which fit in front of the grill bars for my Gen 1 but Zunsport are the best known maker. Which model and generation do you have?

I used Satin Black Anodised Expanded Aluminium Mesh 1000x330mm SKU: AMBK from www.carbuildersolutions.com

Just fitted my mesh grills... Surprisingly straight forward, and looking good. However, as the central "vent" isn't covered then debris will continue to find its way in to the side pods so I can see myself removing the grills every couple of months in order to clean out / vacuum around the rads.

I have found it easy to reach through from the centre and clean out leaves by hand and a flexible vac hose will remove stones.

Look great and functional add on. I had the Zunsports on my Cayman S Sport but these look better behind the grill bars in my opinion and a heck of a lot cheaper. Just wish i was more DIY minded and make some for my R but know i will mess it up as not that way inclined. I will have to put up with clearing the leaves every now and them. Nice job. Cliff
