Cayman GT$ TPMS

Has anyone changed a set or a single wheel on a Cayman? I have a GT4 and I have bought a spare set of wheels. I got the TPMS Sensors from the TPMS Warehouse. The guy said they would definitely work, but now I have had them fitted, the TPMS System does not see them. TPMS Warehouse say that the ID numbers need to be registered with the car's ECU and if I take he to him he will get them working, but that is a 300 mile drive for me. Anyone got any experience?

Yes I used TPMS warehouse the TPMS they supplied HUF sensor never worked.

Montaini tried to read it but couldn't.

As the sensor had been fitted to the car they refused to refund despite being defective.

My advice would be always get them coded first then fit with torque wrench only 8nm so don't let tyre guy over tighten them on the rim.

Most auto electricians can code the sensor to the car.

Montaini Southend near me were good.

They supplied the TPMS make Velo and I can confirm they worked ok on my 987 after coding.

Been on the car some time no issues.

I ended up needing all 4 so bought the other two from Germany which was much cheaper!

The item is unavailable in the UK now but I have a German supplier so if you needed it email me.

I hope that helps

Charles
