It's not clear from the owners manual but what needs to happen for the 981's to go into standby mode? (Where it doesn't unlock from the key and door handle needs to be lifted to 'wake' it up).
On my old 987 it was if the car was left undriven for a week but doesn't seem to be the case on the 981.
