Well I'm on the brink of placing my order.

Not finalised the spec yet but those are my initial thoughts.

Carmine red with black wheels may be added.

Thoughts welcome.

Don, PDLS is a an excellent option (I have it on my 987.2) and I'd go for the 2-zone auto aircon too (just set the temperature and forget about it). Personally, I'd have prefered the PTV/LSD option to have been standard rather than Sport Chrono, but then I'm a manual-shift rather than a PDK sort of chap. The Carmine red/black Carrera S wheel combination looks very nice in the pics and probably in the showroom. I think that a black SportTechno wheel looks even better (less fussy, and you can see the brake calipers too). I'm not sure that the Sports tailpipe is really necessary - aren't the tailpipes blackened to blend with the lower part of the rear PU? Jeff

Yes they are but it's early days so plenty of time to sort out my perfect spec. Deposit paid today delivery June/July....

Just got in, what a great experience. Have taken a few pictures so will try and upload a few.... Sorry will have to resize them. Back soon.

Crikey - £1500 for Carmine Red over Guards. Slightly darker according to the configuration. Is it really worth it?

I started spec'ing a car (just for fun) and ended up just a gnats shy of £100,000 and didn't have ceramic brakes which would have easily pushed it over the hundred. I appreciate this is a pocket super car for relatively little money compared to its abilities, but would be concerned that (due to the resale value of its shopping specification siblings) it would depreciate like an ice sculpture.

John As you know a high spec car will always depreciate like a stone whatever the make. Ok there could be the very odd exception. I'm not concerned about values it's more about having the exact car for me. Mine is a keeper for at leased five years and I'll probably trade it in for a wheel chair...[:D] The joy of owning a new car is worth every penny IMO. This GTS is a wonderful car (as are all Caymans) drives like a pussy and roars like a lion, fabulous...

Don great looking car and be interesting to hear your views on it , I drove a standard one and was impressed by its handling , but it lacked the power I was used to I think the GTS will tick all the boxes Hamish
